Let's Work Together.

I know, no matter where you are in your parenting journey, you love your child. You want the best for them, but parenthood can be so overwhelming. You might not have had the best role models while growing up, so you're feeling confused on how to do it differently. What you need most of all is support, but everyone else seems to have their own opinion on how you "should" do it.

That's where I come in. The Conscious Parenting curriculum combines a professional knowledge of child development with a guiding approach that emphasizes reconnecting you with your own parenting values. Although it is not a form of therapy, Conscious Parenting is a supportive intervention that can help you discover the nurturing parent that already exists within you. Throughout twelve weekly sessions, you'll have the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics relevant to raising your child in an empathic, emotionally-attuned manner. See below for more information and don't hesitate to reach out today.

Conscious Parenting: What's Right for Me?

According to best practice standards, children's success in counseling relies heavily on parental involvement. That's why when I work with my child clients, I always include some form of parenting work. A traditional treatment plan when I'm conducting play therapy for children involves weekly individual sessions for the child combined with once-a-month parent sessions.

I truly believe that you are the biggest source of emotional support for your child, so the better you're feeling the better your child will feel. Oftentimes, a child's mental health can improve drastically without them stepping foot in a therapist's office if their parents are making healthy changes.

Conscious Parenting can help you make those changes. This program differs from other parenting models because it recognizes your complexity as a person. I'll take the time to listen to your goals and work to tailor the curriculum to your needs. You'll be able to explore both how your past influences your present-day parenting style as well as ways to apply this newfound insight to your relationship with your child. Some of the topics we'll cover together include: attachment, emotion communication, setting limits and self-care.
